What are Parabens?

Parabens are chemical compounds used as "antimicrobial preservatives" by cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food manufacturers. Nobody likes dangerous microbes, but according to the Breast Cancer Fund, "parabens are absorbed through intact skin and from the gastrointestinal tract and blood" and "measurable concentrations of six different parabens have been identified in biopsy samples from breast tumors," (Darbre, 2004). The FDA disagrees.
We WILL NOT and DO NOT use parabens, pthalates, artificial colors or sulfates in any of our products. If you decide to avoid parabens, even if you don't buy our products, we will be glad to help you find other paraben-free products.
